Ownership and Management
Ownership.
BAJ (Behavioral Accounting Journal), e-ISSN 2615-7004, is owned and published by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur, Indonesia, through the Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business. The journal has been published continuously since 2018.
Partnership.
BAJ is published in collaboration with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants, Compartment of Academic Accountants (IAI-KAPd), under a memorandum of understanding. The partnership supports the journal’s academic network and does not affect editorial decisions.
Management.
The journal is managed by an editorial team whose names, affiliations, and ORCID/Scopus IDs are published on the Editorial Team page. The structure is as follows:
- Editor-in-Chief – holds final responsibility for the academic quality, editorial policy, and publication decisions of the journal.
- Managing Editor – coordinates the daily editorial workflow, issue planning, communication with authors and reviewers, and compliance with indexing requirements.
- Section/Associate Editors – handle manuscripts in their area of expertise (e.g., behavioral financial accounting, auditing, taxation, management accounting, accounting information systems, public sector accounting, and capital markets), select reviewers, and make recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief.
- Editorial Board Members – recognised scholars from different institutions and countries who advise on journal strategy, review manuscripts, and promote the journal. The Board should include members from outside the publisher's institution and from outside Indonesia.
- Reviewers – independent experts who evaluate manuscripts under a double-blind peer review process. The list of reviewers is published on the Reviewer Team
- Technical Team – copyeditors, layout editors, proofreaders, IT support, and graphic designer who prepare accepted manuscripts for publication.
Editorial independence.
The publisher provides funding, infrastructure, and administrative support but does not interfere in editorial decisions. Decisions to accept or reject manuscripts rest solely with the editors, based on peer review and the journal’s Aims and Scope.
Funding.
The journal’s operational costs are supported by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur and by article processing charges paid by authors only after acceptance, as described on the Article Processing Charge page. Payment of the charge does not influence editorial decisions. BAJ does not carry advertising.
