Generative AI Policy
- AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) cannot be listed as authors, because they cannot take responsibility for the work.
- Authors who use AI tools for drafting, translating, analysing data, or generating text, images, or code must disclose this in an AI Declaration section placed before the references, stating the tool, purpose, and extent of use. Use of basic tools for grammar, spelling, or reference management does not need to be declared.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the whole manuscript, including any AI-assisted content.
- Authors must upload an AI writing check report (PDF) with their submission. Editors may ask authors to clarify or revise sections that appear to be AI-generated without disclosure.
- Editors and reviewers must not upload manuscripts to AI tools, in order to protect confidentiality.
